Terms of Service

Eligibility

You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live (and at least the minimum age required in your jurisdiction to use online services). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

The Service

We provide an in-browser Four in a Row style experience, including offline-style modes and optional online features that may require an account. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

Accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to update it when necessary. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk to the Service or other users.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harassing, discriminatory, or harmful activity.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, data, or other users’ accounts.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service—including introducing malware, excessive automation, or cheating.
• Circumvent security, rate limits, or fair-play measures.
• Scrape, data-mine, or bulk-collect data from the Service without permission.

Intellectual property

The Service—including branding, visual design, code where applicable, and compiled assets—is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You receive no ownership rights beyond that license.

User content

If you submit profile fields, chat where offered, or other content, you represent that you have the rights to do so and that your content does not violate law or third-party rights. You grant us a license to host, store, and display that content as needed to operate the Service.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100), IF NO FEES APPLIED.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in the venue selected by us—unless a mandatory consumer protection rule in your jurisdiction requires otherwise—have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except where arbitration or small-claims rules apply.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and adjust the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
